Jenny Kagan is an artist who makes work that tells stories. She works with the language of theatre and drawing, and the techniques of lighting and stagecraft to create interactive installation work.
She is primarily interested in curating the moment of encounter. In surprising, delighting and inviting her audience to engage in new ways.
Much of this work is inspired by her parents’ survival in the Kaunas Ghetto during the Holocaust and reflects on the contemporary relevance of these stories.
On this site you’ll find details of her exhibition Out of Darkness at the Viaduct Theatre at Dean Clough, Halifax; her work for the Kaunas Biennial; and future work as part of the 2022 European Capital of Culture in Kaunas.
